The famed Kartboy Short Shift Lever has proven itself in the Subaru community. It is manufactured by Kartboy USA from 4130 Chromoly Steel. This lever is an excellent improvement for driveability and performance. I have used it on my WRX and STi transmission, and have installed it on several other imprezas, all with amazing reviews and happy results.

- 1 inch shorter height for comfortable shifting

There are three types of this 5-speed lever based on the model year of the car, and the shifter linkage it is equipped with. Here is what you should choose for your car:
- 1997-2001 Subaru Impreza:
Choose the "97-01 KB 5MT Shift Lever" [KB-001-1997]
- 2002-2007 Subaru Impreza with the factory short shifter upgrade (the shift lever is gold color and thin):
Choose the "97-01 KB 5MT Shift Lever" [KB-001-1997]
- 2002-2007 Subaru Impreza with stock shifter (the shift lever is gray in color and thick):
Choose the "02-07 KB 5MT Shift Lever" [KB-001-2002]
- ALL 2008+ Subaru Impreza (Also fits the 2006+ Forester XT and 2005+ Legacy GT)
Choose the "08+ KB 5MT Shift Lever" [KB-001-LEG]
- 2006+ Subaru Forester XT
Choose the "08+ KB 5MT Shift Lever" [KB-001-LEG]
